hshaffer1:
Since yesterday (5-19-2013), tornados have been tearing through Oklahoma. Today, one of the worst tornados ever in recorded history tore through Newcastle and Moore, the latest death toll being at 51 and expected to rise. 24 are believed to be children in an elementary school. This tornado is believed to have been an EF5, the most powerful tornado, and about 2 1/2 miles wide. The devastation from today is worse than the devastation from the May 3rd tornado outbreak in 1999 which killed 42 total, 36 being in Oklahoma. There’s also a chance for more tornados tomorrow, so stay safe Okies. My heart goes out to everyone affected. Luckily for me, I haven’t heard of any reported damage around where I live.
